My daughter received this for Christmas and at the price they charge for this you'd think it would at least come with a lightbulb. After buying the lightbulb (4 pack -all they had.. hence, more wasted money) we set it up. My daughter and her friend spent more time breaking and peeling the paper off their crayons then they got to use the thing before it died. The first time we tried to use it it was time to pour the wax into the mold. I did it myself, slowly as they recommend and the tray came off the "track" (for lack of a better word). I then had to wait for it to cool down to either put it back on the track or just pour it by hand, as the door automatically locks at the start. 10 minutes later it unlocked at which time it's obviously hardened again so I put it back on the "track", closed the lid, and set it to hear the wax again. This time it worked but after pouring the wax into the mold you have to wait 10 minutes for it to cool all the while the wax residue is hardening on the tray. They say to warm the tray and wipe residue with a paper towel. How do you do that when the lid locks until after the cooling period?? It took nearly and hour to make 4 crayons. Our second attempt went as it should except it never unlocked. We ran two cycles hoping that at the end it would unlock but it won't so now we have our second batch of crayons locked in the machine and if we pry it open it's broken. Either way after one use it's hitting the trash and we're left with a huge pile of broken and peeled crayons.
