BEAUTYPEAK 46" x 55" Tempered Glass Office Chair Mat for Carpet or Hard Floor Protection

I decided to try glass floor mats (I bought 2 laid side by side) for my office chair. My office floor is covered with Berber carpet so I was skeptical that these would handle the flex without breaking. Still the description says the mats can withstand 1000 lbs and it says they're suitable for short or high-pile carpets so I gave them a try. I installed them about 4 days ago now and they're holding up just fine. It amazes me that I can walk on a flat piece of glass and it doesn't break or crack but it's true. I weigh about 220 lbs. My wheeled office chair isn't exactly dainty either but the mats are un-broken and un-cracked even with me sitting in my chair on top of them. I think they're great. I absolutely recommend them and I give them five stars. Warning 1 - They certainly are heavy (40 lbs apiece) and bulky so, even though I successfully carried them up a flight of stairs and installed them unassisted, I'd recommend you make it a team effort (especially if going up the stairs). Warning 2 - Since these are glass, they don't have any flex like plastic mats do. If you're installing them in a smallish office like I did, you may find you have to move furniture (like I had to do) in order to get them placed properly. You can't just bend them a little to get around a tight corner like you can a plastic mat. This made installation MUCH more of an ordeal than I'd hoped for. I didn't feel a lot of love for the ordeal at the time but, now that it's over with, I think the extra effort was worth it.

I purchased this for my wife's home office to protect a new rug underneath her desk. She loves everything about it. Her chair glides easily back and forth on this beautiful glass-like surface and the fit is perfect. For the sale price that I purchased it for, this was awesome buy!
