B'n'M Pole Company Silver Cat Catfish Series Rod 7 Ft. 2 Piece Spinning

I go night catfishing 2-3 times a week. Between my rods, girlfriends and spares for friends to use who tag along i have 6 combos strung at any given time. This rod is plenty good for the price. Not as beefy as the b'n'm silver cat magnum that is double the price with beefier overall construction, but still well suited to use. I already had the magnum and couldn't believe my local walmart had this rod in stock that I impulse bought it and strung up an older penn 550ss to put it to use. For this price range your best bet is either this rod or the diawa beef stick. The diawa is a heavier rod. But both have no problems tossing a 1 to 4 Oz no roll sinker with a swivel to 12 inch or longer leader out into the Ohio river. Really I have no problem with either rod but prefer the nylon rope wrapped grip on the b'n'm Hooked up on a 20lb cat and rod had no problems. Hopefully I can update this when I land a nice hog to really test it.

The B n M Silver Cat is a fantastic rod. Coupled with a Ming Yang CL60 bait caster I was able to haul in flathead catfish anywhere between 15 to 32 lb. Yet the pole was also sensitive enough to also land the smaller 5 to 7 pounders..... for the price the silver cat cannot be beat.
