Avia Women’s Caged Knit Sneakers, Sizes 6-11

i only just got this shoe but so far so good. i was looking for a comfortable sneaker for long distance walking and these fit the bill so far. i wear a 9 1/2 and purchased a 9 1/2 and they fit well even if slightly too big...i wear two pairs of regular socks however and this helps with the fit. this shoe conforms to your foot so even though it has laces, they're only there for show...in cold and windy weather, my feet are definitely feeling the breeze and so two pair of socks are absolutely necessary to protect from the cold. i don't know that i would be able to fit this shoe with a really thick sock, but it would be necessary if i wanted to wear these shoes during the winter. still, they are pretty comfortable and i like the snug fit.

I love the look and feel of these shoes. I have purchased these in 4 different colors, and they are high arched and hug my feet perfectly. The only part I have a problem with is the bottom of the shoe has this weird suede like material on it in the middle that, if not careful you will slip and fall if you are on any flooring that is smooth. There is only normal gripping somewhat at the ball of the foot of the shoe and heal of shoe. Wouldn't recommend it for the ederly, handicapped, or anyone that is a potential fall risk. I walk at a fairly fast pace and in the hospital and have almost fallen and busted my behind 3 times in 1 day. Hopefully, they will change that small part, and then the shoe would be absolutely perfect!!!
