Daphne studied at Epsom & Ewell School of Art and received the National Diploma in Design for painting. As a freelance graphic designer she produced posters & publicity for the British Transport Commission, Post Office Savings Bank, Atlantis Cruise Lines, P&O Orient Lines, British European Airways & packaging designs for Unilever Marks & Spencer. Several series of postage stamp designs depicting fruit, flowers & butterflies were commissioned by the Crown Agents for overseas territories. The artist became an Associate of the 'Royal Society of Miniature Painters, Sculptors, and Engravers' in 1981 & a member in 1984. She passed on September 21, 2009
