I got these to get a better workout during my hikes in the mountains. 10-12 mile hikes started getting a bit too easy so I decided to add weight. It certainly gives you much more of a workout. They stay attached no problem, haven't torn them open in briars, rocks etc. I was looking for more weight at first but happy the best deal I could find was in a 5 lbs pair, 2.5 lbs on each ankle is much more than you'd think. Overall I'm very pleased with this product, if you want to get a bit more exercise from walking, hiking etc I'd definitely get a pair of these. Also, you can wear them around the house all day and get a little workout without even thinking about it.

These are a comfortable fit, meaning the foam keeps the velcro from irritating your skin. This weight amount equal 2.5 pounds per leg, not 5 each. I have thin ankles and could get a snug fit. I've also used on my arms and it's much looser, but still works. I used to (long ago) work pt time at a gym in addition to my regular job and these weights are a great pair at a great price. I definitely recommend them if you're on the fence!
