Archos warrants to the end user customer that Archos products will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for the duration of one year, which begins on the date of purchase by the customer. Customer is responsible for maintaining proof of date of purchase. For software products, Archos' limited warranty applies only to a failure to execute programming instructions. Archos does not warrant that the operation of any product will be uninterrupted or error free. Archos' limited warranty covers only those defects which arise as a result of normal use of the product, and do not apply to any: improper or inadequate maintenance or modification; software, interfacing, media, parts, or supplies not provided or supported by Archos; or operation outside the product's specifications. If Archos receives, during the applicable warranty period, notice of a defect in any hardware product, which is covered by Archos' warranty, Archos shall either repair or replace the defective product at Archos' option. If Archos is unable to repair or replace, as applicable, a defective product which is covered by Archos' warranty, Archos shall within a reasonable time after being notified of the defect, refund the purchase price for the product. Archos shall have no obligation to repair, replace or refund until the customer returns the defective product to Archos. Units sent to Archos for repair will be replaced with new or like-new product (s) of the same model with the same functionality as the original unit. Original unit (s) will be returned only at Archos' discretion. Please back up all content and files on the device. Archos is not responsible for any content on the original unit . Archos' limited warranty is only valid in the country of purchase. Archos will not validate purchases made via trade or barter. This pertains to trade or barter between individuals on sites such as E-Bay where trade or barter transactions are facilitated. Archos does not warrant damage incurred to the LCD on any unit sold. Any manufacturer's defect is at the sole discretion and discernment of Archos repair technicians as the unit will need to be in possession of the RMA technicians for a full and accurate evaluation to be made. B. Limitations of Warranty To the extent allowed by local law, neither Archos nor its third party suppliers make any other warranty or condition of any kind, whether express or implied, with respect to the Archos products, and specifically disclaim the implied warranties or conditions of merchantability, satisfactory quality, and fitness for a particular purpose. C. Limitations of Liability To the extent allowed by local law, the remedies provided in this Warranty Statement are the customer's sole and exclusive remedies. Shouldn't be necessary...
This item actually speeds up the process of recharging the Archos device, and even extends the actual battery life within the archos. If your archos device is low on batter, just plug this in and just like that, you have even more life. Also allows the user to watch videos and play music from the device on a television set. At fifty dollars, it's a bit pricey, and if you already own the archos dvr station you might want to rethink purchasing this item.
