Good replacement for original

Although not as long as the original, it is a good replacement. The problem with this part (original and replacement) is that the plastic piece at the end will eventually break, as mine did on both faucets after 8 years. The metal rod should go the entire length.

Too short

It's simply too short. The specs and the web page for the product do not indicate what other longer rod can be used as an alternative.

Hi Juca, I am sorry to hear that you are having difficulty with your Delta drain. We do have longer horizontal rods. The standard one that comes with our drains are 6 1/8 inch. We have part number RP22828 which is 8 1/8 inches long and RP33805 which is 10 1/8 inches longer.
