The smoke detector is easy to install on a wall or ceiling; to ensure proper installation, the test/silence button will electronically simulate the presence of smoke and cause the unit to sound. Happy camper-Kidde Smoke/Carbon Monoxide Detector
This is the second set of two Kidde Smoke %26 Carbon Monoxide Detectors that I have purchased. The first set lasted trouble free for approx. 10 years so I have good reason to expect that these new ones will do just as well. I didn't even have to change the mounting plates as these newer ones are exactly the same making the installation a virtually a nothing burger. Walmart's delivery was prompt too. I'm a happy camper.
