First, about the physical condition: from the picture, I was afraid the dvd case was one of those cheap cardboard with a bit of plastic to snap it shut. So I was very pleasantly surprised that it came in a regular plastic case. Second, about the movie itself. I'm a civil war buff. I had researched Andersonville before watching this movie. Yes, it's dramatized--it's what happens--so there were elements that were not completely accurate, but I believe they captured the perspective of the POWs very well. Special features included an extra scene, which was eh. But the commentary by the producer, about why they did what they did and the research they conducted, was very fascintating.
