The Plexiglass comes with a thin plastic film on BOTH sides so be sure to remove it - it was quite difficult to take off and was quite scary trying to not break the glass. The glass is very thin so be very careful. The frame is supposedly made of would but I believe its more of particleboard than "real wood". For the price, it is alright, a bit on the expensive side, but most poster frames are so not too bad. The back is good quality and its really nice that it comes with steady hooks for hanging and wire.
