Porter Cable 557 - Deluxe Plate Joiner Kit

I've owned the PC 557 biscuit joiner for 20+ years. I've used it many times of the years with excellent results. When setup correctly the wood joined by the biscuit joiner will require minimum sanding if any (if starting off with smooth wood). The key will be to have the joiner adjusted correctly for the thickness of wood being joined. Also the joiner is well made (at least mine from years ago) and feels solid in your hands. I expect the joiner will outlive me. After Stanley Tools bought Porter Cable, they seemed to have killed off alot of the PC products. As a testimony to the Porter Cable 557 biscuit joiner Stanley has not kill off the product or sell it under the dewalt name. The PC joiner is a little more costly than others you might find, but in this case i would say its worth the few extra dollars to have a tool that will serve you well
