Alpha Chemicals Food Grade Citric Acid - 1 lb Bag

I purchased this product to use in my Sparkel water carbonation device. For those unfamiliar with the Sparkel device, it is the only water carbonation device currently available which uses a chemical source (citric acid plus baking soda) instead of pressurized cartridges to carbonate beverages. Since the Sparkel replacement packets of citric acid and baking soda are not any cheaper than buying pressurized cartridges or even buying cans of soda from Sams or Costco, I decided to try using the online suggestions of buying bulk citric acid in combination with regular baking soda to carbonate beverages. It has worked like a charm, allowing me to carbonate my own beverages at a fraction of the cost.

Worked great. Used to descale the tank on the commode! 1) Turned off the water line. 2) Flushed the toilet. 3) Added 1 Cup of citric acid. 4) Filled the tank with hot TAP water. 5) Stirred with plastic spoon. 6) Waited 30 minutes. 7) Flushed. 8) Scrubbed inside the tank with brush. 9) Turned on water and flushed again. All Clean.. You will be surprised how much lime deposit it removes on just one application.
