I don't wear skirts very often and when I requested this product, it was mainly for use as something to wear to St. Patrick's events. For that purpose this skirt would work well. For regular wear? Meh. 3 stars because 3 is an average/neutral rating. The fabric is thick enough that I'm not worried about it being see-through or showing pantylines, and it's not scratchy. It is a bit stiff though; maybe it'll soften with use/washing. Their are a couple of button hole heights, which gives some size adjustment options, but it's more limited than a strap-adjusting buckle/slider. It's almost too long on me - a couple inches past mid-calf on my 5'6" frame - but I prefer too long to too short because it can always be mended. My biggest complaint is the zipper, which feels very cheap and fragile. It not the full price of $50+, but if you can pick it up on sale it might be worth it because it is cute and different.

This is a somewhat cute plaid skirt with suspenders. The fabric is a bit stiff and not very soft. The skirt is nicely sewn and the pattern is cute, but unlike modern day dresses and skirts, this one does not have a slip inside. Also, the suspenders don't work well at all. For my height (I'm 5'9 and 150 pounds) and for the size M that I received, the suspenders were way too long for me even at the shortest suspender length adjustment. If it weren't for the suspenders, this would be a cute skirt on its own. Honestly I don't see myself wearing this for any purpose other than as a costume at a theme party; it doesn't look very nice for the other occasions.
