This album was Lou Rawls' biggest hit of the 1970s, and deservedly so, thanks to canny production and songwriting by the justifiably legendary team of Gamble and Huff. "You'll Never Find Another Love Like Mine" was, of course, a disco anthem in its day, and several of the songs here are in a similarly attractive dance vein.

"This Song Will Last Forever" (in reality, it only lasts 5:07 minutes) features Rawls in a self-referential mode, running down the titles of some of his earlier hits as the track fades out. There are also songs that hark back to his roots in R&B and jazz, particularly "You're the One," a gently swinging big band blues, as well as "Let's Fall in Love Again," an unabashed pop ballad with strings which occasions Rawls' best singing on the album.
