People who say that this mobile stopped "working" within days - I have to question whether those people had the common sense to change the batteries or not. It does come with 4 AA batteries that's already in there, but take into consideration that the product has also been on the self for a while too. I say this because you'll be surprised with the electronically-challenged consumers that are out there, especially anyone older than the Millennial generation. Works great, baby loves it. Batteries died after the second day, got new ones at Walmart, works perfect again. Easy to assemble, sturdy on crib with just a strap clip; easy to hang other toys to the mobile too if you don't like the ones it came with. Can set it for 20, 30, or 40 minutes to play. Lots of tunes, or you can just have ocean sounds which a newborn would probably like as it probably sounds more like being in the womb than Brahms lullaby. Volume control, as well as options for ceiling stars, changing lights on the whale which reminds me of a strobe light... great product.
