The Valances are made of 100% polyester faux silk, Faux Silk is an imitation silk, the fabric reflects the natural silk "dupioni" lines, and has a soft and rough hand touch due to the Dupioni texture. The window valance is medium to lightweight, both sides of the fabric are dull and look the same.
