McCormick Gourmet Organic Poultry Seasoning, 0.87 oz Bottle

New packaging but the same wonderful ingredients, and gluten-free which my daughter and I need. She and I prepped our Thanksgiving 16 lb turkey, using this poultry seasoning along with other herbs and spices, and gluten free Kosher salt to prepare a dry rub. My "extra ingredient": about 1/8th tsp nutmeg. Also added freshly zested organic lemon. Blended the rub into softened unsalted butter, then worked the mixture under the skin, all over the bird and in the cavity. Smelled so good! Brushed oil all over the breast and legs, then sprinkled the balance of the rub to cover the entire bird (had placed it into the pan which had carrots, onions, garlic, AND fresh poultry spices). Placed fresh herbs, a quartered lemon and onion and 6 medium cloves of garlic into the cavity. The bird absorbed all of that goodness uncovered in the fridge overnight. Before placing into oven, added 1/2 cup Pino Grigio (white) and same amount of low sodium organic chicken broth into bottom of the pan (to help make great gravy and to maintain moisture while roasting). Convection roasted for 2 hrs 10 minutes (undisturbed), tenting with aluminum for last 25 minutes. Let it rest on the counter (bird continues cooking); served about 90 minutes later with side dishes and incredible gravy. WOW! The entire turkey was devoured by 4 adults, 2 teen boys, and 2 young grandchildren. Definitely include this McCormick seasoning into your next turkey or chicken dry rub. Our daughter was pleased that I had purchased an extra bottle for her to take home. Like me, she incorporates it into meals year round. I was thrilled to have found i here on Amazon because it was HALF the price of wha the markets wanted for thiss and other brands. Do yourself a favor and ORDER it.
