Great for grinding game meat

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought a Kitchenaid mixer for ourselves for Christmas, and a bunch of attachments, including the grinder. Well, we had some venison a friend gave us months ago, sitting in the freezer. Not the best cut in the world, but the gesture was generous nonetheless. Well, in short, after I trimmed the venison and cut it into 1" cubes (roughly), this attachment made short work of it. We ended up with several pounds of extra-lean ground venison. Not only did the grinder work well, clean-up was a snap. Just be sure to follow the instructions and do NOT overtighten the front screw-on cap—finger-tight is good enough.

The shredder "shreds" time off of kitchen prep

I have wanted the slicer/shredder/grinder attachment for my KitchenAid mixer for many years. I finally bought the set this past week and I love it! I really wish I had bought it sooner. The shredder attachment shredded the cheese I needed in a snap. And no grated knuckles that sometimes happens with a box grater. I can't wait to use the grinder attachment to make fresh ground beef for burgers.
