Accurate and viewable from a distance.

This is my favorite. I have been buying them for 35 years. It is plastic and will fade, but my last one lasted ~7years. I mount this on the deck and can view it from inside the house clearly. I like the large easy to read gauge and dumping the water is easy. It cleans up easy in the spring with pollen is everywhere. Just use soap and water. I added a 1/2 in block behind to mount on our deck with a 1/2in railing overhang.

Great, easy to read and clean rain gauge

I was hesitant to purchase this, based on other people's reviews, saying that it was damaged or missing parts. This Accu-rite rain gauge came in a large Walmart box, with no damage whatsoever. The gauge is very large, and can be easily viewed from over 20-25ft. away. The mount just needs 4 screws. The top funnel easily removes to clean out gauge tube. The graduated numbers make it great for reading. Ease of installation was a breeze. This replaced a former Tractor Supply purchased rain gauge from several years back. I'm very happy with this one! All parts are plastic.
