Easy to use and uses a battery that is easy to get; not like some of the others where you have problems finding a battery for them. I really like it.

You Need This for Your Kitchen.

This one of the BEST food/cooking thermometers that I have purchased in many years. I like how easy it is to handle and get a fast reading on the temperature of the item you are cooking. Great value!

The Acu-rite digital thermometer

I have a mini crock pot that doesn't list how hot the the pot gets. The thermometer gave me 170 degrees. I want to cook shrimp which requires a fairly low internal temperature. The thermometer has a thin probe which I will be able to insert in one of the shrimp while it is cooking. Shrimp are very sensitive to overcooking and becomes tough if cooked too long. This thermometer has a probe that folds away and when not in use I store it in a zip bag.
