Many of today's autos use compact spare tires that are under the rear floor cover with valve stem pointing down, or stuck in a compartment that is hard to access. For spares under the rear floor cover, to check that spare is at 60 pounds pressure you must remove the spare and turn it over to access it's air valve. A big deal. I have connected the 3 foot extension air hose to my compact spares so that it can stay fastened under the floor cover, and run the valve end of the air hose out, or lay it on top of the spare. Now, I do not have to remove the spare to maintain it's air pressure. The extension air hose has an air valve at the end that you can now easily reach with an air gauge and an air pump.
