From the renowned brand Panasonic, we present the LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 lens (S-S50), a large-aperture standard fixed focal length lens designed for the L-Mount system. This lens is the second addition to our series of four F1.8 large-aperture lenses, all of which share a common size and control part positioning for seamless usability. This feature is particularly beneficial when using a gimbal, as it allows for quick lens swapping with minimal gear adjustment. The uniform diameter across the series also enables the use of common filters.The LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 lens is meticulously crafted with nine lens elements in eight groups. This includes three aspherical lenses, one Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) lens, and one Ultra-High Refractive Index (UHR) lens. This lens also stands out for its superior video recording performance, thanks to a mechanism that suppresses focus breathing, a common issue with interchangeable lenses designed for still photography. Coupled with a micro-step aperture control for smooth exposure changes, this lens enables you to capture professional-quality videos.Despite its advanced features, the LUMIX S 50mm F1.8 lens is compact and lightweight, weighing approximately 300g. Its rugged dust and splash-resistant design can withstand harsh conditions, even temperatures as low as 10 degrees below zero, making it a reliable companion for your photography adventures.
