I purchased this for my 14 year old grandbaby because she is always complaining about being cold in her house (valid complaint, by the way, becauseit is always cold there). Pretty, but probably dangerous.

The blanket is very soft and pretty. It was placed on the bed and turned on to a medium setting. The heat was great. The control box (where you put in the settings you want) soon became hot enough to burn you. And yes, it was plugged in and set properly. The blanket did not overheat, just the controller. The blanket also shed terribly.
