I like this new cooktop

I received this cooktop last week and have been using it. Since my last plastic induction cooktop melted after deep-frying, I chose this metal housing to replace it with a little higher price. It is super simple to use. There are only 2 settings: heat and timer. You can easily turn it on. It is large/fast enough so I can cook soups and stews. I like how the control panel is slanted and it is made of metal so it wouldn't melt when there is overflow or in contact with big hot pans. Plus the buttons aren't overly sensitive — if sauce spilled onto a button, it would not be triggered, which was a problem with my last touchscreen cooktop. It works very well if you use the recommended induction-ready pans. Newer cookware will state whether the pot or pan is "induction ready," or induction compatible. You can try to attach an ordinary kitchen magnet to the bottom of your pan, if it sticks readily, it will work. Also, you need to make sure the bottom of your pan is as flat as possible. No temperature function may be a flaw for those who would like to Sous Vide. But I like it as simple and fast cooking. It is worth the price.
