These gloves are thick enough not to rip or tear but thin enough that you can still feel what you are doing. I like usung them when doing gardening and weeding around my yard. My husband had used 1 pair for working on the garage and working on a car and not one hole or rip. These gloves have great grip and are really comfortable. They are made to last.
