Great phone for price, given Pixel 6's woes

I upgraded from a Pixel 3a. I considered the Pixel 6 and 6a, but was wary of the issues with the fingerprint scanner on these models and general reliability. So I figured the Pixel 5a was a good upgrade for a couple of years and I love that it has a physical fingerprint scanner. Likes, weight, feel, display, battery life, which is astounding. The phone came ready for use with any carrier and I chose Google Fi, which got installed as an eSim in a couple of minutes. Dislike: the only color was black. But it's OK, it's a great looking phone. I can't help but note how light the Pixel is compared to an iPhone.

Google 5A 5G was a disappointment.

First, the seller advertised the phone as a US model and it is the Japan version. The main difference is that the camera makes noise when you shoot, and I had to make sure that there is a warranty on the phone. There was. I wanted a phone that had a better camera than my okay camera on an old Samsung phone. I was not impressed with the camera either. The camera was better, but had the same results in different situations such as light and dark differences. I am easy to satisfy. However, the Google Pixel 5A 5G did not impress me.' Even the fingerprint reader only worked about half of the time for me and I calibrated it twice. The cell reception was less than my old phone and the hand off to wireless calling seemed to cause calling and receiving calls hit and miss. I had high expectations for this phone and I was very disappointed overall.
