Bike Shop Classic Trumpet Style Bicycle Horn

My four year old daughter has a little tricycle that was my mom's as a child. It has a plastic bike horn, which she loves, but the clasp to tighten it to the handlebars is not really an easy adjustment, making it hard to maneuver the screwdriver and get it to stay tight. For this reason, it sometimes slips down and dangles upside down. This is frustrating for her, even though she loves her bike having a horn! When I saw this little classic bike horn, I knew we had to try it! First, the clasp is MUCH better, and easily adjustable. It has a little rubber stopper to keep hands and kiddos safe, and then a big washer that can easily be turned by hand to affix to the bike (or scooter) handle. Success!!! The horn is adorable, it really looks old fashioned and the classic metal and black rubber. The horn takes a bit of getting used to, as the rubber is kind of floppy when you squeeze it to honk. My daughter took a few tries to get the hang of it, but now she loves it! We installed it on her tricycle, but she has asked us if we can move it to her big wheel or her scooter. With the easy washer, it'll be a quick change to see which she likes best. My only hesitancy is that it is stainless steel. We don't live far from the ocean and have a lot of humidity and salty air breezes. I am fearful that this is going to rust pretty quickly, even being stored in the garage or barn. But time will tell, and we will see!

THIS BIKE SHOP TRUMPET HORN IS REALLY COOL! THE HORN AND RUBBER SQUEEZE ARE NICELY MADE AND AS I MENTIONED IT IS QUITE LOUD!! INSTALLED ON MY DAUGHTERS BIKE AND SHE LOVES IT, YOU CAN HEAR HER A BLOCK AWAY!! NOW I WOULD NOT ADVISE TO LEAVE THIS HORN EXPOSED TO THE WEATHER AS LIKE MOST METALS IT WILL RUST OVER TIME. I WOULD HAVE LIKED TO HAVE A STRONGER MOUNTING BRACKET BUT THE ONE DESIGNED WORK OK. THANKS!!
