"A bit light in the wool"

Nice hat. As I said in the title ; 'a bit light in the wool'. I'm Irish born so I have had a few of these and still do. I'm 77 and sadly things are not 'born' to last. Once upon a time you'd get a hat like this and maybe have it for twenty years or so; probably having the lining replaced a few times. In fact, if it were your 'Sunday' go to mass cap and not your work cap, they might have buried you in it. I have three of these hats, recently given as gifts and all of them suffer from a likely short life span. That being said, it would make a nice gift for someone you care about. The lining could also be a bit more substantial, but the 'bean counters seem to have had their way with that as well as the quantity of the wool.
