Instructions
Unfold and place the pad, plastic side down, in a confined area, away from your dog's bed and food. Place your dog on the pad several times so he can smell the pad and get used to it. While your dog is eliminating on the pad, use a phrase like \"go potty\" so that eventually you can use the command and your dog will understand what it means. Immediately after the dog eliminates on the pad, reward him with praise and a treat. If your dog has an accident, bring him back to the pad immediately. Continue bringing your dog back to the pad to reinforce that this is the place to go potty. Dispose of soiled pads and replace as needed. To housebreak your dog, gradually begin moving the pad closer to the door and finally outdoors to complete the housebreaking process.

Super Absorbent!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have 2 large pit bulls and one tabby cat. Only my dogs use these, and they are very absorbent! They are very large and accommodate both of my dogs at the same time. The scent is nice, and really helps. I definitely recommend!

Super Absorbent Reliable Pads
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Hartz® Home Protection™ Odor Eliminating XL Lavender Scent Dog Pads were very effective. We have a large 1 year old dog and an unpredictable schedule. Most days he's fine, but sometimes there are accidents if one of us is running late getting home. These pads were large enough to cover his usual "oops" area on the floor. They fully absorbed all fluids and had a pleasant odor, which kept our home from smelling like pet urine. They were very easy to dispose of. No mess, no hassle. I'll definitely keep using these to protect our floor.

They're big enough that nothing leaked over the sides, and also very lightweight. I also liked the mild lavender scent, which was not over powering.
