Merrell Womens Siren Edge 3 Hiking Shoes - Black / Acai

I bought these shoes for a recent trip to Europe. I wanted something that would be comfortable to walk long distances comfortably and well supported and these definitely delivered. They were perfect for walking and kept my feet dry in the rain. I did end up walking through a 15 minute downpour and the waterproof gave way during that walk but was able to dry them out at my hotel room that night with a hair dryer. I also went hiking on this trip over rugged rocks and large elevation gain over 10 miles and they held up better than I could have hoped for. They were able to do all this and pack easily in my carryon suitcase. I have a narrow heel and they didn't slip at all in these shoes. Also, I had plenty of space width wise for my toes. One thing to note, these shoes have a little bit of a heel drop. I had to wear them on walks leading up to my trip to get used to them because it caused the front of my shins to be sore. But after a few walks, I was accustomed to them and was fine for my trip.

This is my third pair of the Siren Edge 3! Love the way they fit and how well they handle wear and tear.I wore this newest pair on our recent 6 park National Park adventure where we did a lot of hiking on different terrains. I had no pain or blisters . I've had my other two pairs for 4 years! They are still going strong! I wear them on a rotating basis for my daily walks around my neighborhood. I highly recommend the Siren Edge 3! I hope Keen continues to make this style in the future!
