KitchenAid K5AWJ Mixer Attachment Water Ice Jacket for K4, K5, KP50, KSM5 (Without Box)

A question asked was "would I recommend this product. Yes. For people who have a more narrow bowl than my 9.5" bowl. I'm a bit miffed that I called in to see if they'd mind me rejecting it as I only learned just then that it wasn't going to fit my machine. The person on the phone said it would be alright and she took notes. Well, the delivery person didn't get the memo I guess. So, they left it on my porch without ringing the doorbell. That was low down, man. So. I'll tell you this is the second always quality product I've bought that wasn't right. The first was the ravioli maker for stand mixers. It had no hopper, rendering it useless and they were pert near impossible to get hold of. Anyway, this is a super nice water jacket but it is not for today's newer models. These are for models dating back no newer than 16 years ago. The model you want if you have a professional 5 is the wide one which looks more shallow. I'll eat my losses. I',m not going to send this back. Maybe I'll find somebody who can use it. Like I said, it is a perfectly good product. Just not for my machine. we can still use it for a water jacket for outside on the picnic table, though. Maybe keep cold soadas on ice in it for guests. We barely ever have guests since the freaking lockdowns, except people doing yardwork for us. You can keep mashed potatoes hot by setting the bowl inside the water jacket and filling with hot water. better yet if you have a warming plate. The one I got is exactly as pictured. The one you and I probably need is more rounded on the bottom and more shallow, AND IT HAS THE KITCHENAID NAME ACROSS THE FRONT OF IT. pRECIOUS LITTLE INFO ON THIS MATTER ONLINE. That's why I'm tellinng you what I learned just before delivery. I'll try again next month, but Walmart doesn't have the one I actually need.
