5 stars for the Tomato Crater!

I purchased 2 Tomato Craters in the fall so I would have them I. Early spring because my sweet 100 cherry tomatoes failed so badly last year. The Craters arrived very well packed with an added FLI product for me to try but I'm not sure they always do that but it was a nice surprise. So in this May we snatched up two Costco Sweet 100 tomato plants even though it was pretty early for MI planting. We are in a condo so we have to plant seasonally on pots. I planted two plants, one up on our balcony and one down on our patio.and it appears the Tomato Craters worked as promised and kept the soil warm enough for them to thrive. By June I had to top off the plants because I am too short to reach as high as they were growing. It is now the last day of July and I have already harvested so many tomatoes that I am giving them away to our neighbors. Every week of July I have dehydrated 5 trays of tomatoes to freeze for the winter and I have shared at least 2 bags with our neighbors. I made some tomato sauce for family with them to try them out and it was so sweet they raved. I have only fertilized the two plants once but I water them every other day. It has been a very hot summer here so I'm sure the plants love that but the roots are deeper so the tomatoes aren't splitting with my watering. I am very happy with my small investment in these tomato craters. They will last years and with my crop this year they have more than paid for themselves. I highly recommend them and I have many neighbors that I have shared my crop with that are ordering them for next years crops

This tomato crater is perfect. Gets the water to the roots. Protects from cut worms and keeps weeds away from the tomato plant. Fast service! Very happy.

Tomato Craters Work for Many Vegetables!

I don't typically post product testimonials, but in recent years I have been experimenting with using a new vegetable garden product called the “Tomato Crater”. I live in Kansas where the gardening season is often hot and dry. I stumbled on this product while searching for a way to retain ground moisture from my garden's irrigation system. At first, I thought it was “gimmicky”, but I got some to try last year. The results were very surprising! In side-by side comparisons of tomato plants alternating with, and without, the Tomato Craters (TC), almost all of the plants with the TCs were taller, fuller, and more productive than the plants without them. To say I was amazed is an understatement. Then, when I pulled the plants in late summer, I noticed there were also similar big differences in the root developments. Leading up to this gardening season, I got several more to not only use on now ALL of my tomatoes, but to also expand the side-by-side experiment on Bell Peppers, Chili Peppers, Zucchini, and Squash. This year's garden produced more tomatoes (especially Romas), and with fewer plants, than this garden has ever done since opening it on this new property in 2020 as a Covid “Victory Garden”. Amazing as the tomato bounty was, the production from using the TCs on the other plants was almost unbelievable. There was a slight, but noticeable, difference with the zucchini, and an even greater difference with the yellow squash, both producing noticeably more healthy plants and more and larger vegetables. Also, Squash Beetles seemed to be much less of a problem, which could possibly be an unexpected benefit that someone should run scientific testing of. Then there were the peppers… the differences were astonishing in the quantities and sizes of all pepper varieties, but most especially with the Bell Peppers! These could easily be renamed “Veggie Craters” because they just simply work on all garden plants I have experimented with. No gimmicks here- just something that very much works to help produce lots of big and healthy garden deliciousness. I will be getting enough to use them for years to come on the entire garden. Would highly recommend!
