Actually took it out of the box :)

I'll be honest. This is the second insta-pot I own, but the first one didn't make it out of the box. I was afraid to use a pressure cooker so the ugly stainless steal one is still in the box. This one has a happy, friendly floral print however and it was on sale :) So, I bought this one as I felt it was a good "starter" insta-pot... I figured it would be as friendly to use as the floral design. Then I watched the "un-boxing" of the same or similar products on youtube and those videos helped me summon the courage to actually take this one out of the box and run it through it's first water test. I then watched more videos of other new inst- pot owners to see how to actually cook with one. Now I use it to steam potatoes and veggies in minutes. I also can cook a roast in half the time I would need to if I was using the regular oven. There are also videos you can find to teach you how to clean up your insta-pot, but it's not that difficult. Just keep it clean and dry and don't move the pot while the pressure valve is up. An insta-pot is not something to be taken lightly. Caution should always be implemented but it has become a valuable kitchen tool for me. I'm excited to try stewing some of my garden tomatoes this summer :)

Happy so far.

I haven't used it very much yet as I have bought it to use in our motor home. I was pleased when I took it out of the package as it was very light and much smaller than my other pot, which is what I hoped for. I have just tried using the sauté, slow cook and pressure cook in my kitchen to cook recipes that I often cook. I was very pleased with the results and think it should work really well in my motor home.

This Instant Pot Mini is Brilliant

We're a family of four adults and let me tell you, this wee pot is absolutely fabulous. I've cooked so many amazing meals, stews, curries, soups, Italian and so much more. It's a fabulous all rounder and thrilled with the cooking results.
