Lower Pressure Equals No Problem
I do a lot of spraying furniture using Fuji and Devilbis HVLP units. The prospect of the lower pressure in an airless unit tweaked my interest for larger area projects. The Wagner Control Pro 170 did not disappoint. While I was spraying a transparent oil sealer on cedar fencing, it worked great with minimal overspray and see no reason why it would not work on higher viscosity coatings. I was very diligent about reading all the instructions and following the well worded cleaning instructions. Cleaning the unit using a spray gun cleaning fluid and following up with the warm soapy water flushing left the unit looking brand new and will keep me "in the paint" for many years. I also liked the option of replaceable valves for future overhauls and helped steer my decision to go with Wagner over that other brand airless sprayer just offering replacement pumps in this price range.
Great Sprayer Easy set up Easy Clean up
I got the Wagner Control Pro 170 a couple weeks ago. I am staining and sealing a large privacy fence. The sprayer was very easy to set up. The instructions were very clear and concise. I did some practice spraying on some cardboard as the instructions suggested. I picked up spaying with it pretty quickly. I can't believe how well it works compared to my old sprayer. Coverage is very good and the great thing is I can spray right out of the 5 gallon bucket. Clean up was also very easy. My next project I am planning is to paint my stucco house. I am looking forward to using the Control pro on that project also. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Awesome for the DIY'er or the semi-Pro
I recently decided to sell my home and paid a contractor to paint the exterior. Thousands of dollars later, I decided to paint the interior myself. I rolled 2,000 square feet of walls, but decided to paint the doors. Well, we had about 26 doors to paint. I brush painted one and knew there had to be a better solution. That's where the Control Pro 170 came in to play. The first door I brush painted took 3 coats and about 2.5 days with drying time and such. Then we got the Control Pro and setup a booth (cardboard boxes) outside and set up an assembly. the first door took days, the remained 25'ish Painted with the Control Pro took a few hours and only 1 coat. I SAVED DAYS, and saved paint which all equals money and time. The Control Pro 170 is well worth its weight in gold! I would highly recommend it. Pros: - Affordable - Portability, lightweight, easy to handle - finish quality is great Complaint: - None really. Only thing that bugged me was that one door of the top storage can't open all the way because of the handle. Doesn't really cause an issue, just an annoyance to me [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
