It's ok, but not what I had hoped.

very large and heavy umbrella places a lot of stress on the pole. the recommended patio block weights they would have you use to hold it it place are no match even in the gentlest breeze. I lag bolted the cross base to my wooded deck, yet in a 5mph breeze, the huge 10ft. umbrella twists side to side on the mount pole, no matter how tight I try to make it. Several days later I purchased a conventional pole umbrella for my patio set. Disappointed that there is no type of counterweight to offset the weight of the 10ft umbrella and relieve some of the stress on the main mast. I really don't expect it to hold up very well. Perhaps the steel model is stronger. I went with the aluminum model so as not to rust up. The night lighting is a nice feature.
