Tremendous Help with Cleaning

Initially, I was hesitant to buy this product bc of my comfort zone for buying from the Walmart website, but not directly from Walmart. Luckily, this one came directly from the actual manufacturer. Shipping took a little longer than expected and there was absolutely nothing covering the box. I imagine this is a newer cost saving trend. Everything arrived brand new and not damaged. I really like this steam mop bc I can detach it from the stick and use it as a handheld. The head of the attachment for the handheld is a bit flimsy. Meaning, the head maneuvers back and forth a little too easy for me. I suppose this additional flexibility is to help it clean more awkward spots (that I have not yet found). The two pieces of harder elastic strings used to keep the cloth in place (on the attachment), has a tendency to get in the way. I find myself holding onto these while using this particular attachment. There is a triangular shaped attachment for use on the floors. It's my understanding this piece is supposed to help clean corners in tighter areas. Switching to this attachment just for corners didn't seem worth it as I was able to reach the corners with the regular rectangular shaped attachment. This triangular shaped attachment is probably better used for much smaller spaces and one I haven't found much use for yet. The large, rectangular shaped attachment is my primary. This particular steam mop is designed such that you can spray some extra steam on the tougher spots. I'd rather have that power and might on the floor, while I'm moving the steam mop back and forth. Even with the large rectangular attachment, I'm able to maneuver corners with ease. This particular attachment is supposed to be hands-free. Meaning, releasing the dirty piece is supposed to be easier.. . Which, it really is. Putting the piece back on is just as easy. Only thing to know is that the plastic piece holding the towel will be wet and have drops of water on it. There's another steamer attachment (for clothes?) that I haven't used yet. I have another clothes steamer that I prefer to use instead of this steam mop I use for cleaning. This steam mop comes with the plastic container to fill the water tank with. Generally speaking, the steam mop can hold about 2 fills. There isn't really an indicator anywhere to let you know you're running low on water. There's a clear plastic piece on the water tank that you can look at... . I've noticed that the steam mop will make a different sort of subtle noise when it needs more water. It would be nice to have a visual indicator of some sort. It doesn't take long for the steam mop to get ready for use. Once it's ready, it will start to release a little bit of steam. ... I sometimes think of a dragon bc the steam and the noise. There were no replacement towels included. Storing this steam mop has proved to be interesting. I ended up buying a larger hook for the wall and store the attachments wherever I can find space.

Great product, received early,

I really liked the I received the Shark Lift Away steam mop 2 days before expected arrival date. I liked that it was in the original package. I was a bit leery of ordering on line since I read a review about receiving products that were returned to the store, then shipped out to on line customers. This product was in the condition as if I was in the store.

Better Than Mopping

The steamer is easy to operate and is light enough so it doesn't feel as exhausting as mopping. The floor feels just as clean as traditional methods and is dry in a couple of minutes. Thats very important with an energetic child and two Australian Shepherds running through the house. BE SURE TO USE DISTILLED WATER ONLY TO PREVENT BUILDUP OF MATERIALS THAT WILL DAMAGE ANY STEAMER OVER TIME. I learned that the hard way with other steamers.
