Best Bang for Your Buck

The nice thing about iKBC is that you know exactly what you are getting, no matter which product you buy. This is my second MF108 board, as I already have a v2 with brown switches, and I've been anxiously awaiting the v3. I picked this one up with blues, which I've been wanting to try for a while now, and I'm glad I did. For me, they feel much more satisfying. I have nothing but good things to say about these boards. They are solid, heavy aluminum, weighing in at about 5 lbs. or so. Once the board is on your desk, it isn't going anywhere accidentally. RGB is a must for me, and this board has plenty of options in that respect, including the ability to set each key individually, and this can be done directly from the board without the need for additional software. It's nice to see that the V3 is now USB-C. For my money, a better full-size board doesn't exist. I haven't had any issues with either board. The keycaps are solid, I've had no issues with wear, they are clear with no errors to speak of, and the media volume keys get a lot of use, so I'm glad they are included as well. It's no wonder that these sell out as fast as they do. I missed it on Massdrop, so I was glad I was able to snag one here before they sold out. I'd love to see a hot-swappable version in the future, and I'd also like for the left and right-side space bar lights to be set so that they are always completely on, and only go off when certain keys are disabled, instead of the other way around. All in all, if you can grab one of these, you won't be disappointed. They are easily the best bang for your buck.

Grab one, you won't be disappointed

This is my second iKBC MF108 keyboard; I also have a v2 with browns. I was worried that I had missed out on the v3, but was fortunate enough to purchase one with blues just before they sold out. Based on my experience with the v2, I had absolutely no qualms about grabbing this updated version, and indeed, I would feel confident with any of iKBC's products. For the money, you aren't going to find a higher quality, pre-built board. The MF108 line is hefty; the aluminum case weighs in at about five pounds. Once the board is on your desk, it doesn't move. I now have one board at home and one in my office, and since I prefer to keep my rooms darker, the RGB functionality is a must for me. There's no need for software with these, you can set all of the colors directly from the board, and you can even set individual keys however you'd like, which makes for endless color customization. The media keys are incredibly handy, and a lot of other boards don't seem to have them. The v3 adds USB-C, and also swaps the Windows key to "Win" rather than the icon. I liked the icon better myself, but it's a minor gripe. If you can find one of these, either new or used, I can't recommend these boards enough. iKBC has the market cornered in terms of a high-quality, all aluminum case, full-size board with RGB. I'd love to see the v4 have a fully lit space bar (as it stands now, the space bar is lit in the middle only by default, and the right and left side LEDs are only on when certain keys are disabled). I'd like to see this swapped so the space bar is always fully lit and the left and right side LEDs go off with key functions, instead of the other way around, but again, it's a minor gripe on an otherwise perfect board for my needs. Grab one, you won't be disappointed.
