Horrible

I cannot dedicate the time to fully explain how awful this book is. I wrote a lengthier review on GoodReads. You can also find lengthy critiques of this book on many blogs. Summary of problems-- The authors start off with a seemingly healthy statement and almost immediately contradict themselves with a dangerous statement. Example-- Gary Thomas wrote a chapter where he states that of course women shouldn't feel obligated to give their husbands whatever they want whenever they want it. Then he immediately quotes a story from another author, and agrees with it, about how a wife will get out of bed to feed her newborn, even though she is utterly exhausted and in pain. And that is how a wife should approach s3x with her husband-- even if she is exhausted and in pain, she should just do it anyway. The entire book is like that. It is full-on gaslighting and manipulation of the unsuspecting reader. If, however, you are on alert for this tactic, you will see it everywhere and simply be enraged and how stupid he must think his readers are. Also, reader beware, this book is marketed as an Evangelical book to help married couples with their s3x lives, but it contains erotica. The authors had some couples submit stories from their own lives and these were printed in the book for no apparent reason whatsoever. Gary Thomas even wrote some extremely private, intimate information about his own wife's body parts that I truly did not need to know. Stay far away from this book.
