The blanket cover is light, well made and beautiful!

This is a rustic type quilt from India, really three layers of cotton material held together with a running/basting stitch. i got a smaller one in black to test and see if i wanted to get a larger one for the bed. would make a great bedspread. Mine arrived not smelling funny except that it had onviously come from another country, but nothing offensive and no strange chemical smell. I threw mine in the washer on delicate cycle and it came out fine- but i wash everything before I use it. i tossed it in the dryer for a few minutes then hung it over the shower stall to dry. washed and dried great. please note the manufacturer recommends hand washing and line drying, which i am not going to do. It is softer after washing but not a fluffy quilt . A fine bedspread or coverlet. Also I ordered this at the same time I ordered something that shipped from Illinois, and although it shipped a few days later than the other item, it actually arrived from India in three days, and arrived before the thing from Illinois! So if you are looking for a rustic cover of this type, I recommend. I am ordering another for a bedspread.
