I have been a lifelong advocate of natural herbs and spices to promote health and well-being. Thyme, a member or the mint family, has been used over the centuries by many cultures for medicinal purposes. As a 'spice' it is great when used to flavor fish, meat, pastas, or poultry. So, when I had an opportunity to review Buddha's Herbs, Organic Thyme Leaf Tea, in exchange for the product, I jumped at the chance. A cup of herbal thyme tea was a new experience for me, and very rewarding. At first the scent of thyme was reminiscent of cooking with this herb as a 'spice'. It was pleasant and aromatic. However, my first adventure in making this tea I leaned to the light side, and did not keep the tea bag in my cup for very long. After using this herbal tea for over a week, I lean towards a more robust flavor. I now keep my tea bag in the hot boiling water much longer. Thyme is packed with vitamin C and is also a good source of vitamin A. This is certified organic and contains NO preservatives. YooHoo! The flavor has 'grown' on me, and I prefer it strong. It seems to provide me with a soothing, positive effect on my feelings and mood. Great way to start and finish my day. WooHoo! I highly recommend this Buddha's Herbs, Organic Thyme Leaf Tea.
