TP-Link AX3000 Whole Home Mesh WiFi 6 System, Dual-Band with Smart Antennas, MU-MIMO, HomeShield Security Deco X55(3-Pack)

I've been waiting to do this review for a long time. I wanted to wait for a sufficient amount of time so I felt good about the review. That I tested it long enough. Here is what I discovered. I purchased this on-line at Walmart because some guy had posted a video about using it to reach a secondary building. That was my main concern. I've been using a very old router (probably 20 years old) and it finally was struggling to give me a good connection with the upgrades in the Spectrum internet over the years. If you can believe it, I was only getting a download speed of 11 Mbps and 9 upload speed. For some crazy reason, I could still watch TV and youtube videos fairly well, so I kept using till I finally started having connection issues. I have a garage apartment that is 55 feet away. I was using a signal booster device and it had been working okay to help me watch youtube over in the apartment. That device finally died and when I bought a replacement, it didn't work worth a hoot. I decided it was time to finally replace my old router and get something state of the art. When this system arrived, the setup was so simple and easy. You scan the QR code onto your cell phone and use the program that it installs to do the setup. I'm not particularly savvy with anything like this. The setup could not have gone easier. HIGHLY recommend to anybody tech challenged. I was so pleased with the unit. The main unit is in the center of the house. I put another unit in the living room of the house. The third unit, I put over in the garage apartment. I'm getting 490 Mbps in the house and I'm only paying for 400. Over in the garage apartment, I'm getting 336 Mbps. I couldn't be happier. The TV is picking up and working A-OKAY over in the garage apartment and I'm having zero connection issues. My greatest concern was purchasing a system that didn't reach over there. The app they provide is awesome. You can see what is connecting and see what the current connection speed is on all 3 DECO units. You can enter settings for all your devices that connect. You can specify that they only connect to a certain DECO if you want. You can set it so they only connect to 2.4 or 5.0 speeds (if you want). After goofing around with these isolation settings, I've discovered that it's just best to leave it on the AUTO setting. Whatever the device happens to be, it's always going to connect to the 5.0 every time if it is capable and if it isn't capable (like some of my old internet capable TV sets), they will always connect to 2.4 anyway, because they are not going to recognize the 5.0 speed setting anyway. I have walked around with my cell phone and it will flawlessly switch over the closer DECO and you'll never notice. Also, I walked down my long driveway about a 1/4 mile from the house and I'm still getting full internet bars on my phone. Outside the house in the yard it has great range. My buildings are both wood-frame (just so you know).
