Mepilex Ag Foam Dressing with Silver 4 X 4 Inch, Square, Sterile, Box of 5

Well, if you do this might be just what you need. I can say that with 100% certainty, but this is without a doubt the BEST wound dressing that I have ever used. And I have been dealing with a couple of wounds that I've been having for over six years now. It would be hard to explain why mine won't fully go away, but here is why I think that Mepilex Ag Foam Dressing is so great. For one thing, the silver in it really helps wounds heal faster. However, if you are someone who is allergic to silver or something, I do believe that they make these without it. The main breakthrough with this wound dressing is it's SafeTac technology though. You might notice that there is no border of any kind, right? Well, that's because the whole backside of it has the adhesive on it. So you just cut it to whatever size you need it to be (in the shape of the wound and just a little bigger than the wound), and then just stick it on your wound. Which means that, yes, the sticky part goes directly on your wound. And then when you take it off of your wound, it doesn't affect your wound and it doesn't hurt one bit! I know, it's awesome! Back when I was using wound dressings with borders or using gauze and medical tape, almost every time that I would change my wound dressing, adhesive would be left behind on my skin and my wound would often wind up in worse shape from trying to get all of the adhesive off. Well, I don't see why these aren't the only thing used on wounds these days, but for some unknown reason they're not... A few years ago before I found out about Mepilex's wound dressings, I went to a wound care place. And all they would keep using were these huge dressings with a border that would leave behind all kinds of adhesive when I would take them off. Well, after about a month of going there they had me ring the bell saying that my wounds were healed, even though I kept trying to tell them that they were still there... But anyway, I would definitely recommend this Mepilex Ag Foam Dressing to anyone who is considering getting it.
