Purchased for a 5 year old boy. He was thrilled with the present and is still leaning to use it. The only recommendation I would make is to have an elastic styly watch band that isnt so stiff because on tiny wrists, the watch face takes up the majority of space and the band that comes with the watch is not pliable enough to be comfortable for very long when worn. The lanyard is something I feel is unnecessary for littles simply because it creates the opportunity to more likely lose the watch :)
