XTERRA Fitness MB550 Indoor Cycling Exercise Bike with 48.5 lb Flywheel, Wireless LCD Display, Unlimited Micro-Adjustment Resistance Levels

I got the XTERRA Fitness MB550 Indoor Cycle with Wireless LCD Display last year. I added a tablet holder, phone holder, spd pedals, and cadence monitor. I guess the “MB” stands for mountain bike, but I really can't feel a difference between it and the bikes I've used at gyms for spin classes. I chose it because the adjustments could suit anyone in my family (5'1″ – to 6'1″), and that's the only way I could justify the purchase. I've got "Guilty Mom Syndrome" I guess. It comes with a water bottle holder, and the handle bars are fully adjustable (up down, forwards/back) which made it even more attractive for its versatility. The bike computer didn't work initially. I called the company and they sent a new one out right away. They were very nice and accommodating. The people who work for the company are very helpful. I needed help setting up the computer, and they were very patient and helped with that. They sent someone out right away to check on the belt when it started making a strange sound. The technician told me it's one of the better machines out there for the price point. He works on all makes of these types of bikes. The belt just needed some baby powder on it. Seriously. That was over 5 months ago, and the noise hasn't come back. It's a very quiet machine too. I have it near our living room and use it with my urban ears headphones while doing online spin classes on my IPad when others are around, and no one ever complains about it being noisy. It is belt driven and uses a felt pad for resistance so it is not magnetic resistance. Those machines will be much more costly, just so you know. It's a nice solid and quiet machine for the price. I don't see me needing to get another bike or upgrade at anytime, and I use it quite a bit. I averaged 3 rides a week on it this past year.

This item is too heavy to be shipped in cardboard. It arrived with the top sliced open and one side of the box had cuts about 4 feet long. It apparently was dropped along the way because the rear mount for the rear stabilizer had one side curled up, making it hard to attach the rear stabilizer. Much of the styrofoam supports inside the box were broken apart. I will say with all the damage to the box, there were no missing parts.
