Eclipse Ludlow Blackout Curtain Panel Smarble (received from spark review) When I was in college, I bought my first set of black out curtains. Couldn't live without them. The color was black. Kept windows and glass sliding doors covered. No light could get in the room with these curtains. Fast forward to 2018 – here they are again. This set is a pretty gold/shimmery color. Blends well with any décor of your home. Heavyweight – great for keeping heat indoors and cold outdoors. The length is 84 x 42 inches. Super easy to install with a curtain rod. Machine washable. The panel needs to be ironed first to get the wrinkles out. I only received one panel. I will need to get the other one to complete the window treatment. Keep in mind: if you have plants in the room it's important to pull these panels aside to let light into the room. Would recommend if you enjoy a dark room at night or for privacy.

My main concern about the Eclipse Ludlow Blackout Curtain Panel Smarble was if it would really offer the blackout effect I needed in at a particular bedroom window that faces the street and gives a clear view into that bedroom at night when the light is on. So that was the first thing I checked when I got it and I am happy to say that it does actually blackout light from coming in or getting out. In fact, I have tested it by going outside at night to see if I could see through it at all when the light is on and it does not give visibility of my bedroom to the public. The curtain's 42"W x 84"L size was also perfect for that window as it offered full-width coverage and fell just above the floor length-wise. It looked darker in the picture I selected it from, but it is actually a beautiful gold-toned/mixed-tones of horizontal fine striped design with a slight sheen that is just right and went well with the room's decor. There are roomy rod pockets at both ends of the panel that allowed easy installation of most rod sizes. The inside/wrong side of the panel has a lining/coating that I think is the main black-out element. I was also concerned that the coating would peel from the panel after washing, but I followed the instruction and cold machine wash it and it came out intact with no peeling of the coating. After washing, the curtain, which is made of 100% polyester, came out with minimum wrinkles and I just had to iron out the folds that it came with due to packaging. All things considering, I highly recommend this panel. It looks good and will go with most decors and most importantly it does what it said it would.
