Great machine
I bought this item a few months ago. I read complaints about the plastic gear stripping and not driving the ice cream bucket, but this machine has steel gears so no worries there. One other complaint I read was it only had a 1 quart capacity, what people forget is with 4 cups of ingredients, it will expand when frozen to fill the 2 quart capacity. My son and I have a lot of fun experimenting with different flavors of ice cream. Be realistic on what is used to make ice cream, don't expect to make a great texture ice cream from low fat or non fat milk, best to use heavy creams and whole milk. You won't regret this purchase.
