Great machine made well.

I've used this laptop for 30 days and I love it. For the past 25 years I've been a HP user. Beng a first time ASUS customer and it took a little time to adapt to a new machine without a cd/dvd drive. Although I need a cd/dvd drive because I have tons of documents on cd/dvd. However, I am pleased I made this purchase thus far. Both of my laptops were 12 yrs. old and they totally crashed. Quiet, great price and starts up immediately. I would recommend this Asus laptop. I will buy again I need to have an emergency backup.

PERFECT

It's perfect. I have a desk top screen and Dell computer, but it cannot be carried around. I was afraid to buy a laptop that might be slow as I have done before, and it just sits. This laptop is as fast as any computer I have ever had and the price is GREATTT.

I like it the pros definitely outweigh the cons

I purchased this vivobook for entertainment and education purposes. So far I have been able to run three browsers all with multiple tabs open while streaming music and running matlab, multisim, autocad, and office without issue. This comes with an i3 processor 8GB RAM and 256GB SSD. This also comes with free cloud storage which is nice when you register on asus website. The vivobook is 17” and has a full HD screen with blue light filter which really does help with eye fatigue, it has smart adjusting backlights too which I didn’t really notice at first but is a nice feature as well. It weights about 4 pounds which is decent for a computer this size. It comes with windows 10 standard but has a free upgrade to Windows 11 and 15 months of free Microsoft office if you need it. It has 3 USB ports, Bluetooth, headphone Jack and SD slot. No optical drive but stores sell external ones cheap and they’re compatible just plug and go. I also like the fingerprint ID it makes logging in even faster and yes it starts up quite quickly. I haven’t used it for any gaming so I can’t really provide feed back on that but I think it would do fine with most non multiplayer or coop high resolution games that require mega graphics cards (of course this is a guess as I haven’t tried it myself perhaps it’s a miracle machine there as well.). It also has auto noise canceling, which is nice when you’re recording for school because it decreases background noise. Things I didn’t like: the appearance is very nice but I find myself trying to remove fingerprints off the outside quite a bit they’re not super noticeable but I’m a bit of a neat freak. Another thing I have to get used to is the 8 hour battery life, I’ve only used desktops or chrome books which means battery never was an issue, it either didn’t exist or had 10 hours minimum, considering all the processing i do it’s pretty good.
