Worth the Wait!

It's been a gap of time between the last book and this one, but SO worth it when it comes to Ms. Kendig's writing! The whole story of Abiassa and Her Fierian comes to a head in this final book, and like others have said, I'm not willing to let go of these characters just yet! The world is burning, the Fierian is missing, and loyalty to a kingdom means nothing anymore - only loyalty to Abiassa or to the Dark Lord is what matters now. It is a classic battle between Dark and Light (Star Wars, anyone?), good and evil, and you're not always sure who stands on which side of the line. Drracien, we're looking at you. Ms. Kendig delivers on this one as she always has. Well-written dialogue, action packed sequences. You fall in love all over with the characters you know, and with characters you may not have taken note of earlier. Each character could easily have their own book written about them, both before and after the events of Abiassa's Fire, a notion which I would not be opposed to. In all, Ms. Kendig has created a whole new world, one that I would love to visit on my way to Narnia and Middle Earth. Those who have read Embers and Accelerant before this will find the wait for the conclusion has been well worth it.
