Love this product. The color is beautifully genius

I turned 65 and wished to go salt and pepper naturally, but greatly disliked the color line and regrowth discoloration. And No matter what salon I went to for salt and pepper hair color transformation. I always got a botched up hair cut, and hair color. Extremely Frustrated and bankrupt, I decided to take matters into my own hands. I bleached my hair to the lightest I can get. Searched for hair colors closest to what might come closest to salt and pepper color. I purchased the L'Oréal Multi Faceted Shimmering Permanent Hair Color S1 Smoky Silver. It's still not salt and pepper, but is close to it. The only issue is the color dose change to a dingy yellow color, I tried a purple deep conditioning mask, and it was never the same as when I first used the dye. The product is awesome, I was ok with it, but don't know how to maintain and keep it from changing color.

Feria #1

I love your Feria hair color. I have colored my own hair for years with Loreal .Feria is my favorite the high & low lights are fantastic. I use your Rose Gold or Mauve depending on mood. People both men &women complement my hair, most can't believe I do it myself. With so many colors no need to be grey. My hair was auburn when young so the pinks and mauve go well with my fair complexion. Because I'm using over grey/white hair color comes out bold at first and thru the month lightens giving a wide variety of color that I enjoy. Why have one when can of many. Feria is gentle on hair , gives lots of body , multi faceted , easy to use , plus looks like a paid a fortune at a solon. Thank you so much for being here for me . I use many of your other products for their high quality but fair price. You never disappoint.

Pretty good lightener, but brassy

I would have liked to give this 3.5 stars, but since I can't and some of my issues really are probably not just this product I went with 4. The Absolute Platinum definitely did lighten my light brown hair (previously dyed auburn but that had long since faded to a warm brown). However, it did not bring it all the way to platinum (which is actually fine by me, that would probably be too light) although from the color chart on the box it should have. My bigger complaints are the following. 1) This left my hair VERY brassy. I sort of expected this as I have lightened before and gotten brassy since my hair has golden undertones. I was just hoping that since this was not a "golden" blond and had the toning conditioner it would be a little less orangey yellowish. It definitely looks much better dry than when I first stepped out of the shower (felt a little like Milla Jovovich in The Fifth Element for a while there . . . ok maybe not that bad). I'm going to try a purple shampoo and see if that helps. 2) One package was definitely nowhere near enough product for me. I've colored my hair many times before using box dyes and one is always enough to get full coverage. I don't know if it was because it is a bleach not a dye so maybe it absorbs differently, but let me say I was very glad there was a grocery store open 24 hrs only a few minutes from home when I got through one full package and hadn't even gotten to doing my roots yet! I may have looked a little ridiculous with my hair covered in bleach and clipped up, but at least I could finish the job! I do have somewhat long hair, but it's pretty thin so usually one box is enough (and has been for other Feria hair color products). 3) Not the most even coverage. This could have to do with what I mentioned in #2 (having to run out partway through dying) but since that was during the "waiting to do roots" first 20-30 minutes of processing I wouldn't think it would affect things much. There were a couple spots on my hairline that seem to have not gotten covered at all because my natural root color is showing there and a couple other spots (right next to that) which got extra light, so it looks a little funny. Again, the issues are most obvious when my hair is wet, but still. All in all, this was still a pretty good product and I'd probably use it again (and most likely will when my roots grow out), but be aware that you need to buy more than one box if you have thick or long hair and if your hair is not already blond you probably won't achieve platinum and you may wind up brassy.
